Introducing one of the first German IPAs, brewed by one of the few craft beer producers in Germany. Progusta IPA is brewed by BraufactuM "das Craft Bier", which was founded in Frankfurt in 2010. You probably think "What? German IPA?" Zum Schneider is built on tradition, but we're not narrow minded.
Come join us this Friday between 4-7pm and try the new beer $2 off any size. Mösl Franzi and the JaJaJas will make sure the party rocks!
Free glass with 3rd beer.
PROGUSTA
India Pale Ale
Style:
India pale ale dates back to the start of the 18th century. In order for it to survive the long sea crossing to India, it was brewed with high gravity and plenty of hops. The hops were added straight to the shipping casks.
Characteristics:
With Progusta, the types of hops used come to the fore, and harmonize perfectly with the bitter note. The hoppy aroma can be attributed to the American Citra and German Hallertauer Mittelfrüh varieties, which complement each other beautifully. The sweetness remaining after fermentation forms a nice interplay with the bitter note.
Tasting Notes:
Red color, moderate head. Slightly frothy. Highly aromatic taste; fruity apricot and orange notes along with hints of elderberry blossom and cashew nuts are spiced up with mild curry and a dash of ginger, and brought out by delicate sweetness and a balanced bitter note. The texture is velvety and the finish long-lasting.
Aromas: Apricot, orange, cashew nuts, curry, ginger and elder blossom
