For the first time, NYC will experience what is common practice in Germany and all over Europe:
Zum Schneider, the cult Biergarten on Ave C, is organizing what they call in Germany an "open air" “public viewing”. On June 26, July 4th & 5th (quarter finals) and July 13 (final), the event space called SolarOne right by the East River @ 23rd St will be turned into an OPEN AIR FAN ZONE. While the screening of the games on an 16x12 ft (6 x 4m) LED screen will be the main attraction, the riverside will be transformed into an energy-charged open air fan zone, with extensive decorations, live entertainment, incl. live music, samba rhythms, and DJs playing soccer anthems, creating a true World Cup atmosphere.
German Bratwurst, Pretzels, Brazilian churrasco and more will be served alongside world class German/Bavarian beer, wine and soft drinks.
We are also showing ALL World Cup games at the Zum Schneider restaurant.
Prost,
Sylvester Schneider
